The Orbit has a wide, flattened 2-stage arc supported by a reinforced exo-skeleton frame for a guaranteed breathtaking glide. The Orbit makes the best use of its projection area, giving it the best hangtime and power delivery for its size. - Predictable in the Unpredictable
A high performance big air kite that is stable and consistent in a wide range of conditions, especially at the high end. Orbit's ability to fly forward and catch you in kiteloops allows you to overpower the kite without it getting away from you. But at the same time, he's like a racehorse - he wants to go. So you need to keep an eye on him. Note: The same features that enable kiteloop recovery can make the kite sensitive when front stalled, we recommend active tensioning of the rear lines for more stability. - Powerful and Efficient 2-Stage Arc Design
Our two-stage arc design incorporates a flattened, more open arc shape through the central power generating area of the kite where the energy is most useful to you performance-wise. This gives you the largest projected area and the best aspect ratio, which means the Orbit has the best hangtime and power output for its size. Pulling the wingtips in towards the rider gives the kite more responsive steering and the smoothest transition of airfoil angle of attack when under load. - Stable 5-strand performance
In 2021, we replaced the heavier Dacron on the trailing edge and outermost leading edge with NEW, lighter strategic canopy reinforcement. This gives the canopy more strength and stretch control, protects the lighter main inner body of the canopy, and results in a more durable kite that can hold its profile, providing more performance and lift. Because the new fabric conforms better to the inflated structure, it creates a smoother, cleaner entry into the profiles. - NEW Modified Bridle and Light Bar Pressure
In 2021, we modified the bridle for a more controlled response and even faster steering, giving the kite a more playful feel with increased depower. Chief Kite Designer Pat Goodman worked closely with team riders, especially Marc Jacobs, to put the kite through rigorous testing in high winds. This allowed us to further improve stability, feedback and control response, giving the kite a lighter, more responsive feel. - NEW low drag bridles with no pulleys
Our NEW high quality, spliced, pre-stretched bridle lines are pre-stretched and measured before cutting to improve accuracy and consistency. This results in reduced shrinkage, reduced stretch and improved longevity. Removing ALL pulleys from the bridle improves safety and gives the kite direct and precise handling. - NEW kite bag made from recycled PET

Gives the Orbit a low drag profile so it sits further forward in the wind window and provides incredible upwind performance. High aspect ratio swept design allows more area in the center of the kite for more efficiency and easy roll on relaunch. - Premium Teijin D2 Techno Force canopy
D2 Ripstop fabric by Teijin. Premium high density canopy material made in Japan using high tenacity polyester yarn for lightness, high tensile strength and endurance. Teijin Techno Force has the highest strength-to-weight ratio and longest durability in the industry. - Personalized options to optimize performance
The steering pulse options are the attachment points on the wingtip of your rear bridle. All of our kites come with what we believe to be the optimal setting. For the Orbit, this is the lighter of the two and gives the kite a lighter, more playful and forgiving feel. If you prefer more direct control and a shorter depower travel, you can move the setting forward at the wingtip. This will increase the depower and make the kite a little firmer in steering and bar pressure. This gives the kite a sportier feel, but requires a little more power. - Aerodynamic Profile Transition Panels
We added an additional panel that connects to the leading edge seam to ensure that a precise lateral profile shape is maintained as close to the leading edge as possible, creating a smooth transition from the segmented leading edge to the cambered canopy so that the profiles are more consistent throughout the wing. The panels reduce inconsistencies in the airfoil, resulting in a smoother, more efficient kite with more aerodynamic airflow and less turbulence. - Kevlar-reinforced strut system with bridle deflectors
For the most accurate and durable connection between the strut and leading edge. Balance deflectors on the leading edge prevent control lines from snagging. - Duralite seam protector
Lightweight reinforcement to protect against rubbing and abrasion along the struts to the leading edge. Thin foam padding is inserted underneath to provide a lightweight, durable buffer that easily lifts the kite off rough surfaces and protects seams along the struts and leading edge seams. - HyperFlow rapid single-point inflation
High-volume single-point inflation system with a larger diameter hose for rapid inflation and deflation. Bayonet-style main inflation valve compatible with most pumps. No adapter required. - Includes kite, bag, repair kit
